Daniel Cummings was born in Cody, Wyoming, and was raised in nearby Powell, WY. His father, Brad Cummings, worked as a high school shop teacher and construction business owner and his mother, Mary Lou Cummings worked, often from home, as both a travel agent and residential appraiser. He has two older and three younger brothers and no sisters. At Powell High School, Daniel sidelined on the football team, performed in school jazz and concert bands and choirs as well as his own classic rock cover band, competed in forensics, and took part in school plays and musicals. He studied theatre and film at both Texas A&M University and the University of Colorado at Denver where he concluded his undergraduate studies, moving forward to pursue opportunities in Los Angeles. Also a budding musician, he independently records/releases folk albums from time to time.
